Tampa HVAC Repair and Installation Services
A series of steps that have been divided into three parts result to AC installation. The first is installation of the indoor unit which involves a considerable amount of steps like; selection of an unobstructed location on the interior wall to mount the indoor air conditioning unit, securing of the mounting plate to the interior wall and creation of hole to fit in the piping among others. The dos and don’ts in selection of an unobstructed location on the interior wall to mount the indoor air conditioning unit are many.
Some of them are avoiding direct sunlight and heat sources, installing the unit at least one meter away from the antenna, connecting lines, power, radio, television, telephones etcetera, the wall should be strong enough to hold the weight of the unit and avoiding locations where oil mist exists or gas may leak.
A series of steps is accompanied by securing the mounting plate to the interior wall. A four step procedure is used in order to secure the mounting plate to the interior wall. A three sub step procedure is involved in creation of a hole in the wall to fit the piping. Some directions have accompanied the steps of creating of a hole in the wall to fit the piping.
Checking of the electrical connections involves lifting the unit’s front panel, removing the cover and being sure the cable wires are connected to the screw terminals. Connecting of the pipes follows suit coupled with other procedures. The procedure includes; running the piping from the indoor unit toward the hole drilled through the wall, cutting a length of PVC pipe shorter than the length between the exterior and interior surfaces of the wall, placing the pipe cap on the interior end of the PVC pipe, binding the copper pipes the power cables and drain pipes together using an electrical tape, securing the pipe to the indoor unit, joining the water drainage to the indoor unit’s base and running the bound pipes and cables through the hole in the wall.
By pressing the unit against the mounting plate results to securing of the indoor unit to the mounting plate. The next part in the installation of an AC unit is installation of the outdoor condenser. Choosing the best place to the outdoor unit which also involves choosing the outdoor unit location needs away from any hot, trafficked areas and having a considerable space that ensures proper functioning is involved in installation of an outdoor unit. In order that installation of the outdoor unit is done then leveling and laying of the ground is done using a concrete pad. So that the condenser sits above the winter levels then the pad should be high enough.
